The Cost Segregation Project Manager

The ideal candidate is detail oriented and possesses outstanding interpersonal skills. While working with the senior management team, sales team, and any other contacts to proficiently complete reports and successfully deal with client accounts. Responsible for gathering data about client properties, and then uses the information and technical training to complete a multi-step assessment process that will efficiently complete the cost-segregation study by performing the following duties. The position will involve frequent travel, including overnight trips.

Duties/Responsibilities

Work with clients to procure data related to acquisition or construction and to ensure client satisfaction.
Analyze construction cost ledgers, contractor payment applications, and other cost documentation and reconcile accounting records.
Perform takeoffs utilizing blueprints and perform physical site inspection.
Estimate unit costs utilizing costing manuals such as RS Means
Determine the appropriate tax life for each component of a building in accordance with IRS Regulations
Write reports and prepare schedules that support findings from analysis.
Communicate and resolve questions with clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred), architecture, construction management, construction engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering required.
(4-8) or more years of cost segregation industry experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Familiarity with construction design and construction processes. The ability to read, interpret, and explain engineering and architectural drawings is required.
Demonstrated ability to accurately take off quantities, estimate the cost of construction, sequence and schedule the construction for commercial buildings preferred.
