He has been an executive for several fast growing private-equity-backed companies in the business services, logistics, technology and marketing sectors. Jason holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
Eric Steele joined Source Advisors as Chief Revenue Officer in 2023. Eric is a proven B2B revenue leader who spent the last 14+ years of his career at Forrester – one of the leading marketing & technology advisory firms in the world – where he most recently led the end user new business organization in the U.S. Eric is a member of the CRO Collective and received his MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute in 2020. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and lives in Dallas, TX with his wife, Laura, and their two young boys, John, and William.
Deborah joined Source Advisors as the Managing Director of R&D Tax Credits in 2009. Formerly with PwC and another boutique R&D tax credit firm, Deb has overseen more than 4,000 R&D tax credit studies in the over 20 years that she has focused solely on R&D tax credits. Deb holds a BBA and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Michigan School of Business. She is also a founding member of the National R&E Roundtable.
Leila joined Source Advisors team in 2018 and currently oversees marketing content, strategies and initiatives across the R&D, Cost Segregation, LIFO, and Energy Efficiency services. Her experience includes 8 years in the financial services industry and 15+ years in B2B marketing specializing in content and lead generation strategies and execution. Greg is Senior Managing Director at Source Advisors where he is responsible for key client relationships and strategic development for the firm. Prior to the Source/Bedford merger, Greg was founder and Managing Partner of Bedford, having successfully established the firm as a recognized industry leader, guiding Bedford to the completion of more than 14,000 Cost Segregation studies, covering a wide range of property types and sizes. Combining experience in development, construction and engineering for more than four decades, Greg has a broad understanding of the commercial real estate industry, ranging from project conceptualization through construction and asset management. A graduate of Dawson College, Greg has also completed specialized real estate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington and Loyola University’s Sellinger School of Business in Baltimore, MD. Rachel joined Source Advisors in July 2018 as a Senior Director of R&D Tax Credit Services with primary responsibility over the quality of deliverables. She has over 14 years of R&D Tax Credit experience working across a variety of industries with clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Source Advisors Tax, Rachel held a Managing Director role at a boutique R&D tax credit firm for 9 years. She has extensive experience with exam advocacy and appeals representation. Sheri Kanellos has been a driving force at Source Advisors since 2005, expertly steering our human resource management and operations. With over three decades in finance and 18 years dedicated to HR, Sheri brings a wealth of expertise spanning manufacturing and professional services. As an HR professional, she is dedicated to cultivating relationships and to being a strategic resource and leader to the organization. Kamal has been in the tax industry since 2005 and has assisted many companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies with complex tax matters. Over the past 15 years, Kamal has successfully identified and recovered more than $75M in overpaid indirect taxes for his clients. He has also developed many strong relationships with governmental agencies and auditors throughout the United States and assists taxpayers in various indirect tax areas, including but not limited to sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and excise tax. Following a degree in Accountancy Vicki went to a top 20 firm for her professional training. After 3 years in practice, she moved into industry acting as Finance Manager then Financial Director and Shareholder in engineering and manufacturing businesses. Running a business has giving Vicki significant experience and knowledge of the many challenges facing SMEs. She has since acted as an accredited advisor and business coach in cash flow planning, cash management and funding.

Brian Paul Coddington provides compliance, consultation, and audit representation services in the areas of tax accounting methods and credits. Mr. Coddington has represented taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service in matters involving LIFO inventory methods, Uniform Capitalization (“UNICAP”), cost segregation, and research credit claims. He has represented clients before the I.R.S. National Office in numerous Accounting Method Changes. Mr. Coddington began his career at Source Advisors where he oversaw all tax technical research and provided technical support services, including audit representation, to all tax offerings. He then worked at a Big 4 firm in a national projects group that specialized in Federal inventory tax matters. She has more than 20 years’ experience specializing in the field of fixed assets. Prior to Source Advisors, Candace worked with a leading tax consulting firm providing federal income tax planning in cost segregation, tax depreciation, capitalization and repair deductions, and tax accounting methods. During the first nine years of Candace’s career, she focused on general accounting and fixed asset accounting for a multinational manufacturer and a national financial services firm in Dallas, TX. Candace holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and an Advance Technical Certificate in Professional Accountancy from Dallas College. Candace is a Certified Member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP), a nonprofit professional organization, where she currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors.
Nicole joined Source Advisors in 2020 as a Client Services Manager for the Greater New York metro region. She is responsible for developing and growing long-term relationships with clients. Previously, Nicole spent five years as a Division Manager in the education sector. Prior to that, Nicole spent 12 years as a Production Manager for a global laser manufacturer and supplier. During her time there, she led a team of 6 engineers and helped to facilitate R&D efforts in the crystal growth department. Bill Cusato is a Senior Director based in the New England region. Since 2005, Bill has initiated over 1,600 Cost Segregation and Energy Incentive studies across all commercial property types. He works directly with owners and their financial advisors to establish the potential benefit of each project and then acts as a liaison with the client through the completion of the study. Bill is a frequent speaker and is very involved with the education of the commercial real estate industry and also provides ongoing continuing education training and CPE credits to the CPA community. Tony joined Source Advisors in Jan of 2013 and currently is the Senior Business Development Director for Southern CA and Arizona. He has more than 20 years’ experience working with CPAs and companies in helping them understand and benefit from specialized tax incentives. He also served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and was part of the first Gulf War in 1991.
Frank Giudici is a Business Development Director on the Source Advisors Team. He is instrumental in fostering relationships with people who can take advantage of the value-adds that the Source Advisors team provides and constantly seeks to educate those on the subject matters of cost segregation, energy-efficiency and R&D. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Frank received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and then spent 13-years in the Construction Management industry working throughout the Northeast on a variety of construction projects in several roles. Most recently, he served as the Procurement Manager over-seeing the buy-out strategy and implementation for multiple nanotech projects in Upstate New York. Frank’s expansive construction management background paired with his well-versed communication and detail-oriented nature bodes well for enriching peoples’ lives (pun-intended).
Brielle joined Source Advisors in 2018 as an Account Manager for the Greater New York metro region. She is particularly qualified to assist both internal and external accounting teams, delivering solutions throughout the real estate life cycle; seamlessly integrating fixed asset analysis and enhanced cost segregation studies with tax incentives for energy efficient building improvements to produce immediate and recurring financial benefits for clients nationwide. Dave comes to Source Advisors from Forrester where he spent the last 10 years working across a number of different business units. He started in technology research and then spent five years as a strategy consultant specializing in customer experience. From there, he moved into a ‘Solutions Partner’ role presenting/pitching to c-suite prospects at new business target accounts. Most recently, Dave led a team of experienced account executives focused on acquiring new logos.
Meghan is a Business Development Director on the Source Advisors Team. Her focus is building relationships with businesses and CPA’s, identifying and understanding clients unique tax opportunities and challenges and enabling the optimization of various incentive opportunities to enhance cash flow. She joins Source Advisors as a former Big Four consultant specializing in tax credits and business incentives and a business development professional serving the energy industry. Meghan is a CPA and holds a BS in Managerial Economics and Master’s in Taxation.
With a background in finance, Lisa brings a unique perspective to Source Advisors as Director of Business Development. She has 25+ years’ experience advising and consulting with business owners and C-Level Executives in companies of all sizes, in many industries including government contractors. As a commercial banker, Lisa worked directly with decision makers analyzing and recommending the most appropriate sources of financing to fund growth and support cashflow. Her experience was gained from institutions such as American Express and Wells Fargo. She collaborates and partners with CPA firms to be a resource for their clients in R&D Tax Credits, Cost Segregation and Energy Incentives.
Jon Patrono joined Source Advisors in September of 2022 as the Director of business development in the Fort Worth Region with over 15 years of experience in State, Local & Federal Taxation. Jon has helped companies ranging from Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Software Development, and the AEC industry recover tax savings through his knowledge of industry specific tax credits and incentives. Bernitta came to Source Advisors in 1988. Over the past 32 years she has had a major role in design and developing many of the programs and processes for quality control, workflow, review processes, tracking of client information and organization. She oversees all aspects of the production of the Automobile LIFO offering. Continuously working to improve efficiency and maintain a high quality of output for our clients and internally within the company as well.
Sara joined Source Advisors in 1995 as a Customer Service Manager. She was integral in developing Source Advisors’ proprietary software program for the IPIC method. Sara has served in several roles while on the Source Advisors team, including the development of the Trade Discounts service, Sales Support, and as Director of IPIC Services from 2001 to 2005. Currently, Sara serves as Director of LIFO Client Services; she provides technical sales support for LIFO and serves as a liaison between Business Development Directors and the IPIC production team. Sara has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.
Cherie Brown joined Source Advisors in 2002 and serves as the Manager of IPIC Production, which utilizes a propriety software program for the IPIC method. She coordinates the entire process of the IPIC LIFO calculations from receiving and review of information to the production and timely delivery of IPIC LIFO calculations to more than 250 clients. Additionally, she ensures that estimates are completed for future prospects looking to utilize the IPIC Method. Cherie was formerly a Director in the Washington National Tax Services Group at PwC where she spent 14 years using propriety software to generate tax documents for companies in the Publicly Traded Partnership industry. She received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
Since 2005, Debbie has worked to cultivate relationships with CPA firms, commercial real estate developers and investors, asset/portfolio managers, and owners. Through these connections, she helps clients increase cash flow using cost segregation and asset management studies, 179D/energy consulting, and Research & Development tax credits. Debbie began her career managing apartment communities, increasing ROI and occupancy on her properties. After working with Trammell Crow Residential Services for five years and completing her MBA, Debbie changed career paths to concentrate on the consumer packaged goods industry. Upon leaving the CPG world, Debbie founded Re:Focus on Careers, a networking organization dedicated to helping professionals with career development. She continues to present networking seminars to corporations, organizations, and alumni associations. She has an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University and a BS in Telecommunications Production from the College of Journalism at the University of Florida.
Since joining Source Advisors, Frank has spent his time explaining the tax advantages of cost segregation to his clients and their CPA’s. Frank has over 30 years of experience in the business and financial consulting industry. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Frank spent 8 years in the cost segregation industry with another firm. Frank also spent 14 years in Divisional Management positions with TSI, which was part of the largest accounts receivables management firm in the United States. Frank has been a guest speaker at numerous regional and national sales conferences. When not on the job, Frank sits on the board of a fraternal organization that works with local veterans. He also coordinates fundraising events for various charities like Early Connections Learning Center and Candle Lighters of Southern Colorado (a children’s cancer organization).

He has a master’s degree from Columbia College Chicago and received his Bachelor’s degree from North Central College. Joe is a former college athlete who played four years of Division 3 football for North Central, and his love for the game remains strong to this day. When Joe is not working to create trustworthy relationships with clients and CPAs, Joe spends his time in Katy, TX, with his wife and 3 young kids (ages 5, 3, and 1).
Al grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Ohio University. Shortly after graduation he got a position with IBM and moved to Dallas. Originally with the company from 2003-2008, he played a significant role in growing the Cost Seg and R&D practice from inception across the U.S. Al was also instrumental in bringing LIFO to CPA firms and clients throughout the country. Throughout his 25+ years in business development, he has worked with companies from small to Fortune 50 in various industries. As the Director of Business Development for the Midwest, Al uses his passion for helping others and specializes in forming strategic alliances that add value to CPA firms and their clients & prospects.
Becky is the Senior Director of Business Development at Source Advisors. For over 16 years, Becky has successfully established a client list ranging from Individual property owners all the way to Fortune 500 companies. Combining experience in Finance and Real Estate for more than two decades, Becky has a broad understanding of the commercial real estate industry and Financial Planning, ranging from project conceptualization through cash flow and asset management. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Becky was a Financial Planner and Equity/Bond trader for firms such as Merrill Lynch and SSN, Inc. Becky held her Real Estate license in the state of Tennessee for more than 10 years.
Chris joined Source Advisors in 2023 as a Business Development Director. Chris has held sales and leadership roles in financial services companies for nearly a decade and has excelled in building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with CPA firms, business owners and executives. He is passionate about creating strong partnerships with his clients, enabling them to feel confident and be successful in the financial strategies that they pursue. Chris is a graduate of Indiana University and lives in Carmel, Indiana with his wife, Allyson, and their three young daughters. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, seeing live music and being at the lake.
Joseph Sullivan joined Source Advisors as a Sales Manager with over 16 years of sales experience across the finance, technology, research, and consulting industries. He has over ten years of management experience and is passionate about coaching and developing successful sales teams. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University and lives in Scarborough, ME, with his wife, Amy, and his two sons, Ronan and Elliot.
Randy Thompson builds on Source Advisor’s excellent reputation in the Southeast region with a focus on Florida. Working closely with CPA firms, developers, investors and asset/portfolio managers, he assists his clients in increasing cash flow using Cost Segregation and Asset Management studies. Randy began his career in sales over 30 years ago and has a well-established record in the recruiting, engineering, automotive, and general sales industries as well as being self-employed. He owned and managed a home inspection company which included inspection of real-estate property. He has an AA in Agriculture Management from Kansas State University.
Michael Warady, CFP is a Regional Director at Source Advisors who has helped clients secure over $360 million in increased cash flow through incentive strategies such as the Research & Development Tax Credit, Inventory Tax Planning Strategies (LIFO), Cost Segregation and other negotiated and statutory incentive programs. Over the past 15 years, Michael’s clients have appreciated his consultative approach which has allowed them to realize significant increases in cash flow through various incentive opportunities. Michael is a Certified Financial Planner and holds Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Iowa.
Stephen joined Source Advisors in 2013 as Southeast Director Business Development. Stephen’s background includes 16 years in the financial services industry with last 11 years in the tax credit and business incentives segment. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Virginia Wesleyan University.
Hank is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in 19 states and works closely with commercial real estate owners and investors as well as accounting firms to provide creative solutions combining cost segregation and Asset Management studies with energy efficient building incentives and tax deductions. Hank has over 35-years of experience in the engineering and construction fields. Prior to joining Source Advisors, he was chief engineer of the Facilities Engineering and Consulting Division for Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), one of the largest consulting engineering firms in the United States. In addition, Hank is a structural engineer with significant construction experience in the design and analysis of commercial buildings. He is a member of American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP), Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA), and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Hank received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University.
Greg is a mechanical engineer with more than 31 years of experience as a senior facility engineer and a senior engineering consultant. Prior to joining Source Advisors, he was the Senior Director of Cost Segregation for Bedford Cost Segregation. Greg has significant experience in facility contract management and is well-versed in component costing and asset classification for real estate properties. His experience ranges from engineering oversight of an EPA Superfund cleanup to design-build activities for manufacturing plants.
Marcus has more than 32 years of experience in the construction industry, including senior project management, CPM scheduling, project estimating, and project management consulting. His past 21 years have been devoted to cost segregation and fixed asset tax issues. Marcus has completed hundreds of Cost Segregation Studies spanning the US, including healthcare, hotels, multi-family apartments, shopping centers, auto dealerships, resort structures, restaurants, manufacturing, and office buildings.
Jennifer has completed over 1600 cost segregation projects since joining Bedford Cost Segregation, LLC in 2005, with property types including multi-family housing developments, manufacturing facilities, high-rise office buildings, shopping centers, among others. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering along with a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has 8 years prior experience as a project and process engineer in the manufacturing industry.
Jason is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with over 25 years of experience in the building construction industry. Prior to Cost Segregation, Jason performed as a lead project engineer and field engineer for consulting engineering firms working on utilities, municipal, environmental, highway, and building construction projects. Jason was responsible for signing and sealing contract drawings and specifications, structural design, inspections and reports. As a Senior Project Engineer at Source Advisors, Jason is responsible for technical production of Cost Segregation Studies on large, complex projects including acquisitions, renovations, new construction, tangible property and detailed asset management studies. Jason has experience in most property types including regional hospitals, skyscrapers, heavy manufacturing, industrial, information technology, biomedical, restaurants, hospitality, retail and more.
Andy originally joined Source Advisors in 2004. He is currently a senior manager in the cost segregation department. He has extensive experience performing cost segregation studies, repairs studies, fixed asset and maintenance studies, and dispositions studies. Andy holds both a bachelor’s degree in construction science from Texas A&M University and an associate degree in computer drafting from Lamar University. He has taken courses at Texas A&M University where he plans to earn his MBA.
Patrick joined Source Advisors in 2019 as a senior manager in the cost segregation department. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Patrick gained valuable experience during more than 15 years in Big Four public accounting and other consulting firms, providing tax consulting and valuation services to Fortune 500 within the manufacturing, retail, transportation, pharmaceutical, technology and hospitality industries. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and has been a LEED Green Associate since 2010.
Robyn is responsible for performing asset management and cost segregation studies for commercial and residential properties in the Southeast region. Before joining Source Advisors, Robyn worked in the defense industry in engineering and project management. Robyn has a BS in Aerospace Engineering and is an Associate Member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals.
Deborah joined Source Advisors as the Managing Director of R&D Tax Credits in 2009. Formerly with PwC and another boutique R&D tax credit firm, Deb has overseen more than 4,000 R&D tax credit studies in the over 20 years that she has focused solely on R&D tax credits. Deb holds a BBA and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Michigan School of Business. She is also a founding member of the National R&E Roundtable.
Rachel joined Source Advisors in July 2018 as a Senior Director of R&D Tax Credit Services with primary responsibility over the quality of deliverables. She has over 14 years of R&D Tax Credit experience working across a variety of industries with clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Source Advisors Tax, Rachel held a Managing Director role at a boutique R&D tax credit firm for 9 years. She has extensive experience with exam advocacy and appeals representation. Rachel graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Accounting.
George joined Source Advisors in 2007 and is a Senior Director of R&D Tax Credit Consulting. His former experience includes working at PwC in the national R&D tax credit practice and tax compliance experience at KPMG as well as experience at a regional accounting firm. George has focused specifically on R&D tax credits for over 20 years. He holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Taxation from Bryant University.
Moi joined Source Advisors in 2007 and currently leads the Tax Controversy Practice. He has more than 18 years’ experience working with R&D tax credits across all qualifying industries as well as significant IRS audit experience, including appeals. He is considered a national expert in software R&D and has specialized knowledge of financial services software. Moi was formerly a manager on PwC’s national R&D team specializing in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries. He has been with Source Advisors for over 10 years, helping to establish and grow the R&D practice significantly over that time frame. He holds a BS in Finance from NMSU and a Masters in Accounting from University of Dallas.
Laura joined Source Advisors in 2017 and is a Director of Engineering Services over Quality and Content Compliance in the R&D Tax Credit department. In this role, her primary responsibilities include management of the Content Compliance team and report deliverables. Laura has implemented processes and training procedures aimed at improving compliance and quality standards of the reports. Her experience includes six years in financial services leading projects, and three years in Supply Chain Management at Chrysler. Laura holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University.
Max joined Source Advisors in 2021 and is a Director of Technical Sales for R&D Tax Credits. He has more than 16 years’ experience working with taxpayers of all industries to qualify and quantify R&D Tax Credits. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Max was the Director of Tax and R&D at a prominent northeast area Cost Segregation firm, ensuring that the studies being performed were in line with the most current tax legislation. Additionally, Max was responsible for the development and growth of the R&D Tax Credit practice there. Max started his career with PwC’s Tax Products Delivery Group (TPDG) specializing in R&D Tax Credits and Cost Segregation Studies. Max has worked with clients in the Manufacturing, Financial Services, High Tech and Pharmaceutical industries to name a few. Max has been involved in some way on over 2,000 special incentive studies during his career. He holds a BS in Accounting and a Masters in Forensic Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Andrea joined Source Advisors in July 2020 as the Client Services Director for the R&D Team. Her primary responsibility is leveraging her technical background to serve as a liaison between Source Advisors customers and both the sales and technical teams. Andrea will work alongside existing clients to improve understanding of current business operations and industry/economic trends to help maximize their R&D tax credit benefits. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Andrea spent over 15 years in the R&D industry serving in various roles, including her most recent as a Technical Director for a boutique firm. She has long tenures with other R&D Specialty Firms as well as being part of the R&D tax credit team for Deloitte. Andrea has extensive experience in many industries including manufacturing, oil and gas, biotechnology, medical device, financial services, A&E and software development. She holds a B.S. in Biology/Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Jordan joined Source Advisors in 2015 and is a Director in the R&D Tax Credit Consulting department. His primary responsibilities include providing technical sales consulting to CPAs and companies looking for guidance on R&D tax credit potential and managing R&D tax credit projects. His experience includes eight years of market risk management, software development, and operations in OTC derivative markets. Jordan holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Grand Valley State University.
Alex joined Source Advisors in 2013 as an R&D Project Manager and in 2016 expanded his role to Director in the R&D Tax Credit Consulting department. His primary responsibilities included conducting preliminary evaluations for R&D qualification in addition to managing and executing projects for a wide range of industries. In 2021, Alex began working on development of strategic partnerships for the GOAT.tax platform as the Head of Customer Success.
Alex has extensive experience in numerous technology-related fields including cloud platform development, game development, mortgage, fintech, Department of Defense contractors, and engineering. He was also responsible for building computational models for credit calculations, developing audit-ready deliverables, and training all new hires on both the sales and production teams.
Prior to joining Source Advisors, Alex worked at a regional corporate tax consulting firm where he was a Director responsible for building several verticals by leveraging his knowledge of software development, engineering, and contract manufacturing. He has over 13 years of dedicated experience with the R&D tax credit with regard to calculation, substantiation, and defense.
Alex holds a BA in English and a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Irvine and is fluent in Korean.
Riz Malik is the Head of Product for GOAT.tax software where he is responsible for leading the product vision, development, and roadmap along with assisting clients with onboarding and support. He has over ten years of direct R&D tax credit experience in various industries, including software development, engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, architecture, and video game development. He has helped clients and CPA partners identify and understand R&D opportunities, maximize R&D credit benefits, and document to support the credits claimed. Riz is passionate about utilizing technology to bring automation to manual processes to eliminate inefficiencies and improve business operations. Riz holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Massachusetts, and a master’s degree in Information Technology Management from Clark University.
Alex joined Source Advisors in 2016 and is a Director in the R&D Tax Credit Consulting department. His primary responsibilities include leading R&D tax credit projects, conducting interviews and documenting qualified activities. His former experience includes 5 years in operational planning and risk management, most recently leading global projects in OTC derivative markets. Alex received a BBA from Grand Valley State University with a double major in Business Economics and Finance. In addition, Alex received an MBA from Central Michigan University.
Mike joined Source Advisors in 2008 and is now a Director of Project Management. His primary responsibilities include leading R&D tax credit projects, conducting interviews and documenting qualified activities as part of the R&D tax credit study process. Other responsibilities include evaluation of potential clients and the activities they perform as it relates to the R&D tax credit regulations. His former experience includes seven years working in the pharmaceutical industry and seven years in the retail industry. Mike received his BBA from the University of North Texas.
Jim joined Source Advisors as the Director of Tax Controversy in 2022. He has worked in tax incentives such as the R&D tax credit, disaster relief credits, the Employee Retention Credit, and most recently § 174. Jim has been practicing in the general area of taxation and tax law for fifteen years. In that time, he has produced numerous successful tax credit cases for his corporate clients. Further, he has had successful tax audits that range from IRS audits and appeals to state-level tax audits. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Jim worked at two national consulting firms that operated in niche tax incentives. While in law school, Jim worked at a public accounting office where he helped the firm advance in and maintain double-digit growth. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.
Lindsey joined Source Advisors as a Director of Tax Controversy in 2022. She has specialized in tax incentives such as the R&D tax credit, 179D deduction, and most recently the Employee Retention Credit. Through the course of her career, Lindsey has represented both public and private sector clients in tax matters. Her focus is on controversy representation related to credits and incentives at both the federal and state levels. Prior to joining Source Advisors, Lindsey worked at a national consulting firm specializing in niche tax incentives. Most recently, she was a manager within the Accounting Methods and Credits practice at a Big Four accounting firm. Lindsey received her Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate and Master of Laws from Capital University Law School. She is licensed in Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
