EXPERTISE
Bill Cusato is the Director of Business Development for the New England region for Bedford. Bill works with commercial property owners, their CPA’s and financial advisors to take advantage of dramatic tax savings through engineering-based Cost Segregation studies. Since joining Bedford in 2005, Bill has initiated over 600 studies including major shopping centers, office complexes, multi-family, industrial, hotel, restaurant, auto dealership and other property types.
EXPERIENCE
Bill has authored numerous articles, is a frequent speaker at industry events and business schools and provides continual CPE training to the CPA community on the topic of Cost Segregation and many other IRS regulations related to commercial real estate. Bill is a longtime member of Real Estate Finance Committee (REFA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and participates in numerous industry educational events.
Prior to joining Bedford, Bill owned and operated his own regional tax consulting business and also worked over 20 years in the sale, implementation and support of enterprise-wide computer solutions to major hotel and restaurant companies.
EDUCATION AND INVOLVEMENT
Bill is a graduate of the School of Management at UMass Boston, has performed further graduate coursework at UCLA and Boston University and is a certified tax preparer. He is very involved in youth sports activities in Acton, MA.
